Trip To The Farms

With summer in full swing, we have had a little more time to get out and about with Cooper. Last weekend, we went on Saturday to Wilbur to visit. Cooper had a great time visiting Grandma and Grandpa Cobb and we got an extra special treat as my grandparents were also there. Cooper had a hay day playing outside and walking up and down the dirt roads to see the horses and to just be roaming free! He walked at least 1/2 a mile that evening up and down the roads. While we were walking Cooper started pointing out into a field and saying "ber, ber, ber!" When we looked to se what he was so excited about he had spotted a deer. He thought it was a bear (I think because he has a stuffed bear the same color?), but Lance was very excited that Cooper had spotted it first and is now convinced he has a little future hunter on his hands! He was a dirt ball when we was done. Here is a picture of him playing in the gravel at their house.
And here is one with him reading with Grandma Cobb. Cooper is really in to books right now and LOVES reading them either by himself or with someone. While we were there, I took the opportunity to give him a hair cut as his hair was WAY out of control. When I wet it all down with the wet washcloth it stood all up so I took a picture. He is amused, can't you tell?
On Sunday we were expecting company so we planned on attending the evening service. Something came up and our company was unable to make it so Lance and I decided to take Cooper to Smallwoods, a petting zoo outside of Leavenworth. It was really hot but we had a good time and Cooper LOVES seeing the animals.
And seriously, does anyone know what is wrong with this rooster? He really didn't look so good!
And as a side note, this picture is a prime example of why Daddies are so important. Mommies just don't think to put the camo shorts on heads. And to think I would have missed such a moment.Since we are on the subject of Daddy, Lance has been watching hunting videos with Cooper since he was born. They took a little break for the last few months because we have been so busy. The other day, while I was working, Lance busted one out. Cooper was SOOO excited about the elk on the movie he was bouncing up and down and squealing. He even started to imitate the elk calls on the movie so now he will make an, ever so lovely, high pitched squeak like and elk call. Lance now loves to pop in one of those videos to show off to others how much Cooper loves hunting movies and how he can call and elk in already. He even coaches him, "Okay Cooper, here he comes, he is a big one, are you ready? Okay, call him now!"
