Some Type of Reptile

We took Cooper into get his pictures done in his Halloween costume this week. They turned out adorable! I'm not 100% sure what he is dressed as, a lizard? A dragon? A dinosaur? We decided he is a reptile of one type or another. We had a really hard time finding him a costume this year. They were either too big, too small, or $50!! You all know I am WAY too cheap to spend that kind of money on a costume. And then I found this one at the outlet mall in North Bend for $12, so a reptile he is. And honestly, I like it as well or better than any more expensive ones I found! Feel free to cast your vote in the comment section as to what you think he is!!!

Trick or Treat!
Who wouldn't give a whole bag of candy to a guy this cute?

I can barley see out!!!

I'm so camouflaged you can't see me!!!

My favorite pose!

Too adorable!!!

Roseola

Yup, the little man got Roseola a couple of weeks ago. It was a rough go in the Young house hold for about a week. He came down with a sudden high fever and all he wanted to do was sleep. Then a couple of days later, his fever went down to the 100 range and he broke out in a rash. Typical Roseola. BUT he seemed to feel WORSE after the rash. That part was not so typical. After a couple of days, at the earging of Nurse Tami (AKA Aunt Tami), we took him in to the doctor. He had is first ear infection right along with the roseola. Poor kid was miserable! A little antibiotics and a couple days later, he was as good as new! Here are some pics from his rash.
Oh, and since he didn't seem to follow the "typical" course of Roseola, I was convinced that he had caught some kind of rare cooties from the deer (see Conconully post below...). Lance kept telling me that he was fine, but I just new we should be calling up Dr. House! I guess I am a bit overly paranoid when it comes to my baby!

Conconully Will Never Be The Same!

Last weekend we had one last Summer h00-raw! We went to Conconully with a group of friends to stay in one of the couple's cabins. There were 4 couples and 5 kids in all. The kids were ages 5, 4, 3, 18 months and 16 months. We had a blast! One of the highlights was Cooper got to feed a deer. It came right up to him and Lance in the yard. Cooper fed it his apple slice. One of our friends was able to get pictures of it, but I haven't gotten them yet. Here are the pictures I got from the weekend. I will add more as I get them from my girlfriends! Thanks Josh and Manessa for such a fun weekend!

Our Home Is Getting Fuller!

We are blessed to have two interns from our church staying with us this year. They moved in mid-September and have been a lot of fun! Welcome to the family Janell and Shelby!

Summer Fun Randomness

We had a ton of fun this summer. One of the highlights for me was hiking last week with Lance and Cooper. We have decided to let Cooper walk as far as he wants, when it is safe and we are hiking. Then we put him in the backpack for the rest. Last week he hiked 1/2 up Saddlerock! For those who don't know, that would be between .5 and .75 miles UPHILL. He is a little 18 month old STUD!!!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from this summer. The first two are or Cooper and Raife playing in the sprinkler at my birthday party.

Here are Cooper and Daddy relaxing and watching a little "Mr. Ray" together.

This is what happens when Mommy is too busy on projects around the house. I had an old printer in a box to go to Goodwill, and guess who got into it and found the print cartridge? Little Mr. Ink Face!
For some reason Cooper was wearing his PJs and his barn boots and decided to brush his teeth at the same time! What a nut!

Here is Cooper sharing a bath with his friend Olivia. Fun Fun Fun!!!
I would be negligent to not mention Cooper and I's trip down to visit my sister Courtney this summer as well. We had a blast! But I guess without the extra set of hands Daddy provides, we somehow made it home with NO pictures! I am so bad! But we had a blast. We carpooled down with a girlfriend of mine and her kids. It was truly a trip to remember, pictures or not!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was a ton of fun this year, as usual. We went to Ellensburg and enjoyed the day with family and friends. Cooper especially liked the parade and the animal barns at the fair this year. And of course, playing with his cousin Raife is always a big hit! Lance and I were also able to go to the rodeo with friends while Lance's parents kept Cooper. Like I said, we enjoyed the weekend very much!

Grandpa Rizor's Visit

Cooper had the joy of having his Grandpa Rizor come and visit him this summer, right after my Grandparents' anniversary. Here are some fun pictures from the visit.

And here is what Cooper wanted to do with his Uncle Ben's boots when him and Grandpa Rizor came to visit.

Bye Bye Hot Tub

One project I forgot to mention earlier was that we also cut our hot tub into pieces and hauled it to the dump. It was not working AGAIN and it was not really fixable. It was REALLY old and came with the house. We seemed to always be putting money into it so we decided to cut our losses and take it out, piece by piece. We hope to get another one some day. But there was one patch under it where the cement pad was incomplete, so we finished that off. Of course we had to put Cooper's hand print in it. Chloe the dog got a little jealous and decided she would also put her paw print in it. Here are the pictures.

Happy 65th Anniversary!!!

This summer we went down to Eastern Oregon to celebrate my Grandparents 65th wedding anniversary. Just about all of the family was able to make it, although a few couldn't make the trip. Here are some pictures.Happy 65th Anniversary!!!!

Our Busy Summer

So in case you haven't noticed, I haven't updated in FOREVER! So as you will tell from all of the pictures we have had a very busy summer. As soon as summer school got over for Lance, we started all kinds of projects. We re-finished the front porch (I'm too lazy to go take a picture of it), we took out the garage door at the rental house and made that part of the house a real conversion instead of a half-way room with a garage door (it was classy!), and our biggest project was that we turned the "dark room" upstairs into a bathroom.
Here is a picture of it. It also has a corner shower, but I only took this picture. It really did turn out cute, even if I do say so myself! Lots more pictures of our summer and lives to follow...
