In our attempt to be good parents we are tying to get our son to be one of those children who is well rounded in their eating. You know the kind, the ones who will try and then eat anything. Well Cooper just really isn't one of those children and probably never will be. Most days he would still rather us not bother him with the inconvenience of feeding him, especially if the menu includes anything but grapes. But since asparagus is one of Lance and I's favorites and it is the tail end of the growing season here locally, we have been trying to grill us some up as often as possible. Here is a picture of Cooper trying his first piece of asparagus. It didn't end up on the floor quite as fast as the zucchini, but it did eventually meet its demise there. I think a few little pieces may have accidentally ended up in his stomach though, but don't tell him!

Well Cooper is almost 16 months now and the inevitable has come. The child must eventually learn to feed himself with a spoon. The other morning I decided he should practice. Why I decided the day I made his cereal with Blueberry Pomegranate juice is beyond me, but it just added to experience I suppose. Needless to say he was a mess. He did figure out if he put the spoon in the bowl, he could bring it to his mouth and suck off what has stuck to the spoon. Not the most conventional method, but hey, it got some in!

And here is the little turkey after he got cleaned up. I think he was proud of himself because he ate breakfast like Mommy!
